I'll be back.

Hello old and new friends. My blog has been inactive but I am still around. I loom-knit, weave and have picked up the sticks to needle knit, too! My patterns page links to Ravelry and I will answer questions about those. Maybe someday I will be back to write more. We will see where life takes me.

My type of museum

It feels like only yesterday but our visit to the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum was more than 8 months ago.

But for my Dad it was more like 40 years ago since he braced his feet on the concrete ledge to peek into the factory windows. He grew up down the road in Two Rivers, Wis. The presses were running then and they are still running today. So we explored the exhibits to experience the history of the company and the town.

CB arrived a week later and my photos have been buried under, well, baby photos. My sister, Tessa (the budding graphic artist), and I can't wait to go back — maybe even take a workshop. Visit Hamilton's website to learn more.

Perhaps I'll be inspired to finally craft something from my own lil' collection of wood type.
