I'll be back.

Hello old and new friends. My blog has been inactive but I am still around. I loom-knit (and weave now, too!) but I seem to take more photos of my toddler than my crafts these days. She has that cute factor going for her. Because of this, I have started a tumblr called Tiny Taughts of our home lessons, crafts and projects. Please visit me there and I promise to come back here soon!

Shiny!

Anyone who is a fellow Firefly Brown Coat should know what the title means. New fan Barbara reminded me of this happy word last Friday. So let's focus on the shiny for this wave.

I recently returned from the other city that never sleeps — Las Vegas. As a stowaway on business trip, I got to check out the strip sights and relax poolside at the Bellagio.

At the Bellagio pool
I even got a few rows of knitting in.

I went to New York to see a jelly-bean Statue of Liberty ... an oasis of flamingos and a volcano across the street ... pirates fought over sirens ... and Caesar told me like it is in his Palace. And each night, I came back to a show of water and lights at the Bellagio.

But I did give my feet a break from walking and checked back on my 'verse. First bit of e-mail news: The dino hat pattern has earned a finalist spot in the Lion Brand Vanna's Choice contest! This is beyond awesome and if he wins, this could bring even more recognition to loom knitting.

Next up: The fingerless mittens I just finished are being featured in a true blue Etsy treasury! This collection was curated by fellow Wisconsin Street Team member berylblue.

We came home from Vegas to a mostly relax-y weekend with some yard work mixed in. My tulips are blooming ...

Hoppy Easter!!

*Binky!* Hello, it's me, Mr. Mitzy. I'm hopping by to wish you a Happy Easter from my hoomins.

Handsome bunny

Boy, was I spoiled today! And I didn't even have to go deliver eggs and candy. I got parsley and carrot treats from the Ma Goen and Grandma Klinkert. I think I got some raisins, too, but my ma is hiding those for now. *Bunny pout*

Pa Goen gave me lots of rubbas tho. I tried to teach him a bit about cage interior design but I don't think it took. The litterbox must be in the center of the cage to complete the feng shui.

So hey, guess what!? I became an adult bunny and I'm legal to eat all the veggies and fruits I want now. I turned 1 year old on Jan. 9 and my adoption anniversary was in March. So my bunny mom made a little video (larger version) of the past year. Is that a double-chin I see? I better go hop a few laps.
